There are many different types of employment based visas available. We work with the employer and employee in reviewing the company's needs and the employee's background to determine the most appropriate visa type.

H1B: Available for professionals in positions that require at least a bachelor's degree. Available in 3 year increments for a total of 6 years. In certain circumstances, an H1B visa can be extended beyond 6 years. There is a limit of 65,000 H1B visas available each year.
L1: Available to transfer managers and employees with specialized knowledge who have worked for a company abroad for at least 1 year. There must be a corporate relationship between the U.S. company and the company abroad (i.e., parent/subsidiary, branch office).
E3: Available to Australian citizens in professional positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree. The requirements are generally the same as an H1B visa. There is a limit of 10,500 E3 visas available each year.
TN: Available to citizens of Mexico and Canada for employees in certain employment categories from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
E1/E2: Available to companies that engage in substantial trade with a treaty country and investors from a treaty country. The amount of trade or investment must be clearly documented.
J1: Available for trainees and interns who have applied through a program approved by the U.S. State Department. The visa is obtained at the U.S. consulate abroad.
O: Available to those with extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences, education, business and athletics. Extraordinary ability is generally demonstrated through international or national awards or other recognition in the field.
R: Available to employees of religious organizations. A visit by USCIS to the site where the employee will be working is required.
